“They Charge an Arm and a Leg”

Story

A private eye by the name of Jack Chandler has been hired by a runaway girl’s mother to find her, however during his investigation he comes across a group of chainsaw using prostitutes that like to dismember their clients for their cult.

Characters

I liked the characters in this movie, Jack Chandler is very good as a private eye, and drops funny quips in every scene he is in. Gunnar Hansen played the mysterious cult leader and was enjoyable in role.

Gore/Special Effects

In traditional 80’s low budget fashion the gore is old school and cheesy and I think that’s what makes this movie so enjoyable. Large amounts of spewing blood and flying body parts are frequent and awesome.

Lasting Appeal

I think the movie was excellent. I found it to be very enjoyable and funny.  The entire movie is kind of poking fun at the old detective films from the 1940’s. The biggest draw of the film is definitely Gunnar Hansen (The original Leatherface) and horror fans should check this film out just to see him out of the mask!
The film is definitely worth your time and should give you a few good laughs.

Final Head Count

Overall a great movie that is worth watching more than once, I will most likely try finding this at a store somewhere because it is worth the money, I believe it is a classic that should have gotten a much higher rating than it did on other websites. Everything about this movie made me glad I took the time to watch it
