Citizen Toxie: The Toxic Avenger Part IV Movie Review

The Story:

Citizen Toxie Poster

A dimensional tear caused by an explosion at the Tromaville School For The Very Special causes Toxie (The worlds only hideously deformed creature of superhuman size and strength from New Jersey) to switch places with his evil doppelganger The Noxious Offender of the opposite Amortville.

The Characters:

All the main players in the movie have an incredible onscreen chemistry. They are artists of the crude humour on display keeping a pace that rarely feels dull. No matter what gross moment is going down, they always show a lot of heart, which makes it hard not to love all the characters.

Effects/Gore:

“Heroes don’t double amputate police chiefs, or throw twelve year old girls into brick walls!” The gore is really well imagined and with all the kills, surprisingly never the same twice. A hilarious low budget blood bath from opening to closing credits.

Lasting Appeal:

If you like Troma, you should love this movie. The majority of the comedy hits the mark. I find myself laughing just as hard as I did the first time I saw it, everytime I watch. It literally crosses every genre of film seamlessly.

Final Headcount:

This is a best of collaboration from the Troma Universe with Toxie leading the pack. The movie is a disgusting masterpiece that rarely misses the mark. The majority of the run time is filled up with naked women, tons of blood, and yet it still manages to have a relevant story that makes sense. Not many movies out there can find balance in every category like that. This is an essential buy and deserves to be in every horror or schlock fans library.
