How Does Hunt Showdown Do Cross Platform Gaming?
It’s got a very unique set up for cross platform gameplay.
Hunt Showdown is not cross platform on PC.
Console players across Xbox and PlayStation can matchmake with one another randomly. Hunt will bring in different players from both platforms to fill a team. But, players can not specifically party up and invite friends across both console platforms. There are ways around this, that I explain below.
To get around this, we set up on a discord chat so we can go into the matchmaking process at the exact same time. Because we’re all of similar bloodline rank and the same crappy skill level, we got matched up fairly regularly.
In this episode, Mark, Chad and Dylan fired up Hunt Showdown and tested its cross platform gameplay functionality across Xbox and Playstation.
Chad and I were both on Xbox Series X consoles, and Dylan was on a PlayStation 4.
