The Story
For the fourth time a group of friends avoid dying in a horrible accident due to one who suddenly for no reason at all becomes psychic, only death doesn’t make mistakes. While pencil’s have erasers, death has everything surrounding them to make corrections. This particular incident as seen in the trailer is the worst car racing accident you’ve ever had the joy of witnessing. It’s time for the characters to play that game again, stop the chronological victim’s order and they might stop fate.
The Characters
I loved the characters in this movie. This was a BAD movie and it wore it with pride on it’s sleeve. All the characters were funny in a very over the top animated way, but at the same time there was no development so you don’t care about them at all. Line them up, and knock them down!
Effects/Gore:
This was obviously meant to be seen in 3D. I unfortunately never found the time to see it in theatres, so it’s hard to judge if the effects were good? Every deadly premonition the main character sees flies at the screen in some of the most awful CG I have ever seen, the worst of which being a horribly tacked on cartoon snake jumping at the camera. The death’s this time around were some of the most hilarious elaborately staged events you’ll ever see, and I strongly suggest you do.
Lasting Appeal
I saw this for free on T.V. and plan on adding it to my library soon. If you like schlocky B movies you will probably find yourself craving The Final Destination on more than one occasion. As a sequel this movie falls at the other end of the spectrum when compared to the original.
Final Headcount
You just can’t rate a bad movie the same as good movies. No it isn’t high quality, but at the end of the day all that matters is how enjoyable the experience was, and I had a hell of a fun time with this one from beginning to end. If you have a dark sense of humor I highly recommend this as a guilty pleasure you can savor as you approach your Final Destination.
